The weekend ends on a high “note” on Sunday when the Town of Leonardtown once again will host various jazz-themed activities, including jazz brunches and other activities around town.
Leonardtown Jazz Cruise: A Voyage with the Ambassador
Finish off your 3-day jazz weekend with a two-hour cruise on beautiful Breton Bay right from the Wharf in downtown Leonardtown while enjoying live jazz music from “Sax Appeal”, light fare and refreshments. You’ll be joined by our very own Wynne Briscoe, the Jazz Ambassador for the Potomac Jazz & Seafood Festival, during the trip. Beer, wine and light fare will be provided.
Port of Leonardtown Winery
Local winery and agricultural cooperative will host a day of jazzy fun at their tasting room and outdoor patio and lawn area featuring live band GrooveSpan playing jazz hits from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wine tastings, lawn games and more all day!
Antoinette’s Garden is a gourmet coffee and wine café featuring an amazing jazz brunch featuring music from Higher Standards from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., mimosas and great food! Dine indoors or enjoy dining on the historic Leonardtown Square.
The Front Porch Restaurant
Enjoy a jazz brunch at one of Leonardtown’s finest restaurants located in the historic Sterling House featuring live jazz music while you dine from Dragonfly Boys.
Old Towne Pub
Head on over to the Old Towne Pub, one of Leonardtown’s favorite spots, for a jazz lunch with signature cocktail and live jazz musician! Lots of beer, great food (award winning wings!) and more.
St. Mary’s Arts Council at the Leonardtown Arts Center
The St. Mary’s County Arts Council Gallery & Gift Shop will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will have a special for jazz lovers – all items including paintings, cards, and Jazz Coloring Books w/ CD’s by local artist/ jazz musician Craig Fielder will be on sale one day only for 25% off. Each Jazz Coloring Book comes with a narrated CD and features stories about many of the legendary artists of the jazz era.
